The Best Accredited MBA Programs from Across the Globe

There are a great many accredited MBA schools located all over the world. That number continues to grow as more and more employers begin putting greater emphasis on their desire to hire those who hold an MBA in a tight job market.

Types of Courses Offered by Accredited MBA Programs

There are several types of accredited MBA programs offered at schools all over the globe. Some are geared towards the recent undergrad who can devote their full attention to their continued studies while others are designed for the working professional hoping to further their chances of progressing up the career ladder.

Full time accredited MBA programs. Two-year accredited MBA programs usually last four semesters, with a required business internship between school years. More and more full time MBA students in the US are looking at attending business schools abroad, to broaden their acknowledgment of international business practices. To aid these adventurous and ambitious students in their choice each year the prestigious Financial Times publishes a list of the best accredited MBA programs in the world for full time students. In 2011 the top ten list looked like this:

  1. London Business School (UK)
  2. Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania, (PA, USA)
  3. Harvard Burliness School, (MA, USA)
  4. Insead University (France and Singapore)
  5. Stanford University, (CA, USA)
  6. Hong Kong UST Business School (China)
  7. Columbia Business School (NY, USA)
  8. IE Business School (Spain)
  9. MIT Sloan Business School (MA, USA)
  10. Iese Business School (Spain)

The surprise on the list may be that Wharton tops all of those other bigger name US based accredited MBA programs like Harvard and Stanford. When you consider though that Donald Trump, his daughter Ivanka, JD Powers, Warren Buffet and Donny Deutsch all hold MBA degrees from the PA school then you get an idea of the caliber of their accredited MBA programs.

Obviously, as the top business schools in the world the competition to get into accredited MBA programs at any of the top ten schools listed above is incredibly fierce. Fortunately there are hundreds of other great business schools offering accredited MBA programs for those who dont make it into one of these schools to attend.

Accredited MBA Programs for Working Adults

a growing number of business professionals who already have a number of years in the workplace under their belts are choosing to enter part time Accredited MBA programs to further their careers, and these people are not just your typical corporate men and women either. For example, as the world of medicine in the USA becomes a more competitive one, and far more business like a number of physicians are returning to school (again) to pursue a part time MBA in order to better understand how to run a financially viable practice in addition to providing great medical care.
